Practical Driving Test

The final stage in the journey to getting your license is passing your practical driving test. This can be a very daunting experience and we are here to prepare you for everything the test covers. We will have you test ready and relaxed when the big day arrives, and the rest will be up to you.

Although we cannot guarantee a successful outcome for your practical driving test, we have put together some tips to assist you:

1) Don’t rush - Be patient in what you are doing. No one passes if they rush and make unnecessary or dangerous mistakes. If you do make a mistake, let it go and move on. If you dwell on it, you will be sure to make another.

2) Safety margins - Tailgating is dangerous and takes your focus away from things that are happening ahead of you. Ensure a minimum 2 second gap from vehicles in front of you. Remember the 12 second rule, you will have more time to slow down, stop, take evasive action from road hazards and avoid a collision. 

3) Don’t speed! - When in doubt, wash 5 out. Washing 5km/h off your speed is not only safe but smart, giving you better braking distances, better reactionary gap and a safer driving practice.
